Every single one has a different look, different mechanics, but the same feel. Please don't stop making these.. This is another wonderful addition to the ReThink franchise. There are 40 puzzles total, broken down into 10 levels\/areas (A through J) of 4 puzzles each. Most of the puzzles are easy to moderate difficulty, but some of the later-level puzzles can be very tricky. The graphics are crisp, clean, and pleasant to look at, and the music (which is the same as the previous games) is very pleasant and relaxing. I would have liked more variety in the music (additional tracks to reduce the repetitiveness), but the music is very enjoyable nonetheless (I never found it annoying or grating). The concept of redirecting lasers to hit targets isn't a new one, but the ReThink games do it extremely well and provide the best looking, most enjoyable games I've played. The different redirecting mechanics (single output, dual output, triple output, switchable dual output, and prism\/color select triple output), as well as combining and splitting of colors, allows for very complex puzzles. There are two mechanics in this game not seen in previous ReThink games:1) Color-select triple-output cubes, which replace prism cubes from previous games. Instead of having fixed-position RGB color output, this cube allows you to select and mix each of the input RGB components for each of the three output beams.2) Color mirrors, where the RGB components of the beam matching the mirror will pass through, but the other component(s) will be reflected. For example, a white beam hitting a yellow mirror will let yellow pass through and will reflect blue, while a yellow beam hitting a green mirror will let green pass through and will reflect red.Another change in ReThink | Evolved 3 is that in the later levels, multiple puzzles interact with each other, forming one bigger puzzle. This definitely increases the complexity, and can be overwhelming at first, but it also increases the satisfaction you feel when you solve the puzzles.Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this game and can't find anything negative to say about it. Having played the previous games in the franchise, I purchased this immediately, and I'm very glad I did. This game is definitely worth buying, even at full price.. I've been playing all of ReThink games since the first was released, and I love all of them. Every single one has a different look, different mechanics, but the same feel. Please don't stop making these.. A new puzzler in the ReThink series: This means the visuals are deceptively simple in design, but very elegant and just beautiful. You need to use cubes, with various functions - linear redirect, fork, 3 fork, switch between forks etc. - to redirect coloured laser light to specific "detectors" to open glass doors to access the next puzzle. As with the previous games, you are able to e.g. split white light into its R,G,B components, and several puzzles make clever use of combining light colours, redirect that to a certain place, to then split it again. The new features include: Sheets of reflective coloured glass that let light of the same colour pass, and reflect all other colours, this also lets you reflect light via panels on the ceiling (in a few puzzles). The other neat new cube is programmable, i.e. it can split the incoming light into up to 3 directions, and per direction you can control what colour (R,G,B) components you want to pass along. The latter introduces very interesting options. Oh, and portable bi-pyramidal laser energy sources, letting you e.g. change the colour of where a laser originates.Differing from the previous titles the puzzles seem to be placed in completely separate buildings in groups of four, and you move from one building to the next via teleportation. (You used to play a linear winding path from room to room where you could look into future puzzle rooms or look back on already solved ones.)Overall, if you played the previous ReThink games you should be right at home with this game. IMO is actually was easier than the previous games (I am not complaining). If you happen to like elegant puzzle games with interesting game logic, this may be for you.. Updated Review. My last review was positive but i had a minor critic and i talked to the developer and figured out an issue with a puzzel i had ... In response to that the developer fix the issue with updating the tutorial text that makes it allot more clearer how the game mechanic works .. He also added a zoom function to make it easier to hit a block that you try to be accurate with So what is this game .. its a puzzle game about having lasers hitting certant blocks. Colors are mixable via the RGB spektrum with in total 7 colors ? if i did not count wrong ... Meaning if you are colorblind you might not wanna buy this game. The game runs very well on my pc and graphics are simple... there is also no story .. That said ... this seems to be a 1 man fun project and in general the way i can see it puzzles start out really easy but have a nice slow difficulty curve . This is clearly a game that can increase your problem solving skills and think abstract ... Its a good game for a good price .. I am actually sad that good games with good amount of content like that always are hidden and never get noticed ... If you like puzzle games i deffinitly recommend this game. Once again Yaeko has made an excellent game, full of challenging laser based puzzles. Had a blast solving each room and the new mechanics gave the game a new degree of difficulty. Would definitely recommend this game to anyone who has played the previous games (and If you haven't I would also recommend playing those as well). [Update 1-5] Zoom-Function, Fixes: Hello,i just wanted to give a short TL:DR about the content of the last 5 Patches:- A variety of Bugfixes for smaller issues- Added a Zoom-Function on player-request.*- Added a "Delete" Button to player-made savegames- The game now saves automatically when you close it*If you already played the game you need to manually set the key to use it (Default: Left Alt), for everyone else it will be set to default on first launch of the game.Thats all for now, Thanks.. Launch, Sale, Day-One-Patch, Bundles: Hello, the game is live now, and there will be a Day-One-Patch later today that will fix some minor things and add some more Decorative things in some areas of the game. (Due to very unexpected issues i did not manage these things in time, but i also did not want to move the release because of such small things, since People have been waiting.)That aside, the game has undergone dozens of Hours of testing by multiple people, it should be fine.In case you still find bugs, please report them so that i can fix them as fast as possible.Sale:
